If you get a product feed from a supplier, you have two options:

• it has an unsupported format
• it has a generic format (like Shoptet)

You need to open [try:/products/import|Import] and choose “Create template and import”. It will detect the format (XML, CSV, XLS, JSON, …). It will try to guess the format and offer you mapping. You can then preview the result. If you are satisfied, you can save it as an [navigate:/importTemplates|Import template]. Then you can use it to import the file manually the next time or create an [navigate:/automaticImport|Automatic Import] that will import the file on a regular basis.

If it has a generic format, you can create an Automatic import without creating a template.
