Inventory Management and Reordering

This workflow governs the inventory control process, including stock updates via import, monitoring low stock levels through filters, automating reorders, and alerting purchasing teams.

1. Update Stock Levels

To bulk update inventory from a supplier file:

[navigate:/products|Products|package]

1. Click the **Import** button in the toolbar.
2. Upload your stock file or provide a URL.
3. Map the **SKU** and **Stock Min Supply** (or **Stock Max Supply**) columns.
4. Click **Import** to update the records.

2. Monitor Low Stock

To identify items that need reordering:

1. Click the **Advanced Filter** button.
2. Add a condition: **Stock Min Supply** is less than `10` (or your reorder point).
3. Click **Apply**.
4. Click **Save current filter** and name it "Low Stock".

3. Automate Reordering

To streamline the reorder process:

1. With the "Low Stock" filter applied, click **Mass Update**.
2. Set the **Status** field to "Reorder Needed".
3. Alternatively, use **AI Smart Update** to "Generate reorder request for Supplier".
4. Click **Save as automation** and name it "Reorder Low Stock Items".

4. Assign Review Tasks

To notify the purchasing team:

1. Open a product record that needs reordering.
2. In the **Tasks** panel, click **Add Task**.
3. Enter a description like "Review reorder quantity".
4. Assign the task to the **Purchasing Manager**.
**Tip:** You can configure the automation in Step 3 to trigger a notification or email to the purchasing team automatically.
